The Civil Defense 357 Sig is one of our best rounds for self-defense. It has more kinetic energy than most 45 ACP self-defense rounds but only weighs as much as standard 9mm rounds. The 357 Sig is a very underappreciated caliber. Our lead-free 357 Sig goes 2300 FPS out of a 4″ barrel. A feat that has never been done before in guns you can comfortably carry concealed. Our projectiles function differently than any other self-defense round on the market. We designed the Civil Defense line to eliminate threats with one round. We did this by creating the maximum amount of damage and tissue disruption possible. They do well against barriers, but when the large cavity fills with fluid, the hydraulic pressure builds until the side walls of the projectile rupture. This process also benefits in many other areas across the spectrum of things considered when talking about self-defense. Such as reduced over-penetration and lessening the risk of unintended casualties. Having a lighter projectile also leads to less muzzle flips for faster follow-up shots. All things considered, it’s the best 357 Sig round for self-defense and it’s lead-free.

Great Ammo 1 problem

The ammo performs flawless out of my Glock 32. Only issue is loading and unloading for EDC the bullet gets pushed into the case, why not put a slight crimp in to prevent this. I would also like to see a 50g monolithic round in the future.

Thanks for the suggestion. That projectile is a very hard copper and it’s tough to hold a crimp under continued loading and unloading.

50 gr in a 357 is pretty rad.

Tested through a P229 with 3.9 inch barrel and got 2205fps average, which I calculate to 541 ft/lbs. It’s like a laser beam. I have a 16 inch barrel 357 SIG carbine and got an average of 2780fps, which I calculate to 858 ft/lbs. I haven’t tested for accuracy over distance, yet. I’ve tested a bunch of bullets and only one even comes close on energy, so far.

I love this 357 Sig ammo out of my G35 threaded conversion barrel. The reduced recoil is so drastic it is almost funny. Follow up shots are faster due to the light recoil. It really is VERY noticeable.

This is the only self-defense ammo I will be running now. I am going to purchase more and more in every caliber I have. I am a LEO and would love to switch to this on duty. That’s how impressed I am!!!

The magazines are lighter, and ounces make pounds! Functioned flawlessly in a BRAND-NEW drop-in barrel too. I really can’t say enough good things about this ammo.

PS-I RARELY leave reviews, but this ammo/company deserved it. Thank you, Liberty. I am looking forward to purchasing more and more.

Until I discovered Liberty, I’d been carrying Federal Hydra-Shok. After changing my EDC to a Glock 32.4, I searched and found Civil Defense for .357Sig. Awesome. I fired a box to get a feel for the round; completely controllable and highly accurate. Civil Defense is all I carry now.
