*PLEASE NOTE* Liberty Ammunition blemished ammunition includes minor cosmetic imperfections which result during typical manufacturing processes. These imperfections do not create functional issues; however, there may be slight performance variations from the standard spec ammunition. The headstamps of these rounds are colored red to help distinguish them from our other ammunition.

Ive used Liberty Civil Defense for years in my 10mm. Ive ran it through my agency issued S&W 1076, Glock 20 and Glock 40 MOS, and it has never failed. During my career inlaw enforcement, on several occasions i was required to report to the medical examiners office to retrieve projectiles from suspects that had been involved in a shooting with a Trooper, so Ive saw first hand what typical copper jacketed lead projectile does in a real world defense situation, and in comparison to the Civil Defense in ballistic gel, I carry Liberty ammunition in my EDC weapon, over all others. Social media is over ran with individuals claiming this ammo is “gimmicky” because of their “standards” of performance, and insist that a projectile that explodes so violently wont penetrate deep enough, neglecting the energy dump on impact. That energy will literally liquify everything a perpetrator needs to stay above room temperature.

Mr. Smith,
Thank you for your service to the community.
We appreciate your first-hand knowledge of the effectiveness of our ammo.
The social media warriors typically know very little but make broad based claims.
We appreciate the LE, Operators and Contractors that use our ammo.
We’ll keep making the best ammo for the pros and ignore the social media keyboard cowboys.
I bought some of this a good while ago before the website update, and I can tell you this is some spicy stuff. Fired out of a Beretta 96 and my buddies HiPoint Carbine you can definitely tell these boys chooch.

Thanks Kaiser,
We think we make the choochiest.
Thats a good thing!
I switched my defensive loads to Liberty’s offerings early last year, and now rely on them exclusively. I use 9mm +P, .357 Sig and .40 S&W. On the range during evaluation, all performed flawlessly. Thank you!

Thanks David,
We appreciate it.
We agree that our self-defense rounds are unsurpassed.
Wanting to buy 38 specials rounds, are they safe to use in S&W 38 air weight, gun weighs 14.4 ounces
Response from Liberty Ammunition
Bogie,
Our rounds should work fine with any 38 Special.
But those lighter guns have some snappy recoil with any round.
Our Projectiles Function Differently Than Any Other Self-Defense Round On The Market. We Designed The Civil Defense Line To Eliminate Threats With One Round. We Did This By Creating The Maximum Amount Of Damage And Tissue Disruption Possible. They Do Well Against Barriers, But When The Large Cavity Fills With Fluid, The Hydraulic Pressure Builds Until The Side Walls Of The Projectile Explode. With That Explosion Comes Rifle Sized Temporary Cavities And Hydrostatic Shock, Therefore Increasing Stopping Power By Tenfold. Following The Explosion, The Bullet Fragments Into A Starburst Shaped Pattern Creating Multiple Wound Channels.
