  • - We have redesigned the Civil Defense 38 Special to reliably fragment out of 2 inch barrels. Our projectiles function differently than any other self-defense round on the market. We designed the Civil Defense line to eliminate threats with one round. We did this by creating the maximum amount of damage and tissue disruption possible. They do well against barriers, but when the large cavity fills with fluid, the hydraulic pressure builds until the side walls of the projectile explode. With that explosion comes rifle sized temporary cavities and hydrostatic shock, therefore increasing stopping power by tenfold. Following the explosion, the bullet fragments into a starburst

Please note that Liberty Ammunition’s blemished ammunition may exhibit minor cosmetic imperfections resulting from standard manufacturing processes. These imperfections, while purely cosmetic, do not impact functionality. However, slight performance variations from standard spec ammunition may occur. To differentiate these rounds from our regular ammunition, their headstamps are colored red.

A “Blem” is perfectly usable but may have light scratches on the nickel-plating.

Such as reduced over-penetration and lessening the risk of unintended casualties. Having a lighter projectile also leads to less muzzle flip for faster follow-up shots.

Energy claim accuracy Overwatch 45 ACP

105 grain projectile at 1600 ft/sec yields 596.7 ft•lb of energy, NOT 604 ft•lb.

This same misinformation is listed in the Midway web-site.

I do like Liberty ammo and use it in my firearms. I recommend it for anyone who wants to use what I consider the best ammunition for self defense.

She hits at 604 and is a little faster than marked on the box.

It does what it says. I carry all the time. Only complaint is the bullet falls into the case. This is after loading and reloading.

Continued loading and unloading can knock the projo into the case.

We recommend dummy rounds for practicing loading and unloading drills.

Bought a box to try, wasn’t expecting the velocity or accuracy i got. Garmen cronograph gave me an average 2889fps

On 10 shots.

1/2″ group @ 30yds 3rounds .

2″ group @100yds 3 rounds.

Will be a repeat customer.

Just tested 20 rounds through a Glock 20V into ballistic gel. Needless to say, this will now be my edc ammo for everything I own excluding my hiking pistol. Do you have anything for Bear and mountain lion?
