Responding to a request from special forces groups, Liberty Ammunition created the new OVERWATCH line. After testing Civil Defense, these groups were impressed by the way the projectile erupts upon impact. The only concern was the lack of penetration. Liberty Ammunition addressed this issue! OVERWATCH projectiles are designed to function similarly to Civil Defense projectiles but offer increased weight for deeper penetration. Capable of penetrating 12”-16” in gel blocks, the Overwatch lineup prioritizes Maximum Organ Displacement, or “MOD.” As always, Overwatch ammunition projectiles are crafted from solid copper alloy!

More than impressed with the performance with that being said, you have made my 45 ACP Smith & Wesson 2.0 my favorite every day carry gun by getting rid of the obnoxious weight from the Ammo and providing outstanding performance with reduced recoil.

BTW, it’s lighter, but hits alot harder than any other 45 ACP.

In fact, our Liberty OverWatch 45 ACP hits 35% harder than Hornady Critical Duty and 54% harder than Sig Elite V-Crown.

I first got these probably about 2016. I think I carried them in my Smith & Wesson M&p 45 then my Glock 21. I testified about three maybe four rounds out of my MP 45 and it had a 10 pound trigger pole absolutely dead on shot after shot after shot. I know carry them in my 1911 only carry ammo il carry

Our Projectiles Function Differently

Our Projectiles Function Differently Than Any Other Self-Defense Round On The Market. We Designed The Civil Defense Line To Eliminate Threats With One Round. We Did This By Creating The Maximum Amount Of Damage And Tissue Disruption Possible. They Do Well Against Barriers, But When The Large Cavity Fills With Fluid, The Hydraulic Pressure Builds Until The Side Walls Of The Projectile Explode. With That Explosion Comes Rifle Sized Temporary Cavities And Hydrostatic Shock, Therefore Increasing Stopping Power By Tenfold. Following The Explosion, The Bullet Fragments Into A Starburst Shaped Pattern Creating Multiple Wound Channels.
